Darcey C. Smith: Fairgrounds & Facility Director

As an Idaho Native, I was very excited with the opportunity to move back to Idaho in 2009 with my Husband & two young kiddos.

After 6+ years of working for the Commissioner's Office, in 2018 I was chosen to be the Fair Director. I have a strong background in Office Management & Customer Service. I am very honored to be the Fairgrounds & Facility Director, & I will do my absolute best to provide an excellent experience for all of our Fair visitors.

I have a love & passion for traditions, family, children, but I am also not afraid of growth. I embrace the idea of making new traditions at the fair, while continuing to hold on to the traditions that have been set in place before me. Let’s continue to make the Bonner County Fairgrounds an awesome place!

I enjoy spending time outdoors, I love to sew, crochet, spend time with my family on our adventures, hanging out with my Girl Scout Troop & volunteering.

My door is always open, if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Maranda Montgomery: Administrative Assistant

Maranda was born and raised in Sandpoint, ID. She has been working at the Fairgrounds since June of 2020. Maranda's favorite things to do outside of the office is to spend time with her family and anything outdoors.
Maranda looks forward to a long-term career at the fairgrounds. If you want to chat give her a call or stop into the Fair Office.

Chris Larson: Fair Maintenance Lead

Chris Larson joined the fairgrounds staff in July 2018. With a background in agricultural engineering and working at a local cattle ranch for the last several years.

Chris is looking forward to a long career at the fairgrounds.

Cole Ducken: Fair Maintenance Second

Cole has been a part of this fairgrounds since he was very young, with his whole family being heavy supporters of the 4-H program. Cole has only recently started working at the Fairgrounds, in November of 2021.

Make sure to say "hi" to Cole during the Fair and give him a nice welcome!
