Ed Brown Band Stand and Dance Area

In 2002, Ed Brown shared his vision of building a Band Shell to expand cultural, educational, and entertainment opportunities in our region. Ed worked on this project until his death in 2004. He envisioned a facility for groups and organizations to utilize and share their talents with surrounding communities. In 2005, the Bonner County Fair Board constructed a Band Stand to honor Ed's work and inspire the community to come together and become involved. Each year since, Ed's family members have made improvements and donated funds to keep the Band Stand a wonderful place for our community to gather.

Ed's dream to provide an enjoyable area to perform or listen to music, plays, or dance troops continues to bring entertainment. His dream lives on!

Ed Brown Band Stand and Dance Area

The Memorial Water Garden is an area where you can relax and reflect on memories, listen to the sounds of falling water into the pond, see lush greenery, and depending on the time of year smell the lilacs, enjoy vibrant colors of a variety of flowers and soak up the warmth of the summer sun rays. In the winter, the Memorial Water Garden is still and area for sitting and remembering. The pond is not operating from October -April.

This area is a memorial to members of our community that were involved and/or continued to the fairgrounds and fair.
